Mindlight works in the field of emotional mastery. We see these four aspects of life as a way of organizing our emotional experiences into specific emotional skills.
Resiliency: (Internal, Survival)
This is our capacity to recover and heal. To go from de-regulated emotional states to regulated. To expose and feel deeply the full range of emotions and garner wisdom and depth from it. To look at painful circumstances or intense emotional moments without compromising our sense of wellbeing.
Power: (Internal, Thriving)
This is what’s possible when we feel good. Power allows us to choose and maintain emotional setpoints, and curate perspectives that give us joy and contentment. Power allows us to actively choose how we spend our emotional energy. It lets us sit in the seat of creative power that comes from consciously creating our internal experience.
Connection: (External, Thriving)
This houses the skills we need for meaningful and fulfilling relationships. Our capacity to share what is inside of us in a way that is true, useful, and kind. Connection allows us to see another and appreciate and respect their humanity. It lets us intentionally cultivate points of connection and to divest from drama.
Support: (External, Survival)
This is our capacity to hold space for another who is going through a challenging time. We learn to practice non-attachment and allow others the right to their own experience. We learn to keep our hearts open and empathetic while keeping safe boundaries and to offer words and conditions that support the other in regulating themselves and finding their own wellbeing.
Survival: The skills necessary in order to get to a regulated, emotionally neutral, stateThriving: The skills necessary in order to create intentionally
Internal: The skills necessary in order to do the work independently within yourself
External: The skills necessary in order to create in relationship
